This is the battery compartment area before we started the clean up.....

 We turned these bolts....

into these!

Polish with a 6"stitched muslin buff to remove any 30 year old dirt. Then with your cadmium plating system, put a new coat over the bolt so that it doesn't rust.

Important: Rusty bolts may need to be glass beaded, then polished, and then plated!

We simply took the seat latch out and cleaned it.

Seat latch was put in an ultra sonic cleaner used by jewelers with a 200° hot super cleaning solution. This machine sends an electrical current through the piece and breaks up any dirt while cleaning. The wires were cleaned with lacquer thinner as were the surrounding areas of the body.

We polished the battery holder just like all the other pieces then put a coating of cadmium over it with our plating system. We also polished the bolts and washers, then re-cadmium plated them.

This is the finished look after restoration

This was before.

Can you guess which bolt was not re-refurbished?

The shocks were done last week. A Simple tear down with some fresh polish will yield results like this!
